Elle Seymour
Born in Hollywood, CA, Elle grew up in Downey and Torrance. She graduated from high school as Thespian of the Year and attended Pepperdine on a 4-year English/Theatre Arts scholarship. Before graduation she was recruited by L.A. County Sheriff's Department. She met and married David, a school teacher that same year. In track & field, she won 5 medals in the Police Olympics, (2 gold) and was drafted into the patrol car, and then worked in West Compton on night shift.
In 1980, hoping to start a family, she left the Sheriff's Department and began her real estate career.
In 1981, she and David moved with their herd of Peruvian Pasos to Santa Ynez Valley where she continued her real estate career along with a very successful horse breeding and showing enterprise. Their senior stallion, Sol de Mojave+, was the number one show stallion in the country for four consecutive years.
Over the next 20+ years, Elle built a successful real estate career, earning many awards and distinctions. She achieved certification as a Luxury Home Specialist and because of her years of expertise with horse properties, she continues to specialize in the Ranch/Estate and Luxury Home markets.
Elle likes to give back to the community and along with her busy real estate career, she has served 5 years as an ordained Elder in the Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Church; 2 years on the Board of Santa Ynez Valley Rotary club and 2 years on the Board of the American Heart Association. Elle was honored as "Humanitarian of the Year", by the Muscular Dystrophy Association in March of 2006, and received congratulatory letters from President Bush, Governor Schwarzenegger and Congresswoman Lois Capps, among others.
A singer, she sings in the Santa Ynez Valley Presbyterian Choir (The Blue Angels) and performs as a soloist at various special events. Elle has a trio, "The McChoir Sisters", that sings standards from the 1940s to 1970s, with sparkle and style. Watch for Elle in a teeny tiny speaking roll in a film to be released in late 2006, "Light Years Away."
Elle credits her success to God, her loving husband, David, the support of exceptional friends and business associates. She is a firm believer that there is a hero in ALL of us and that each day we live is a gift from God. "Yesterday is history, tomorrow is a mystery, today is a gift from God, that's why it is called the present." May you treasure each day of your gift.
Her working motto is: "Friendly hometown service with uncompromising integrity. Let me show you how I work."
