50% of Mortgage borrowers are GenXers

The media may be broadcasting that the “sky is falling” in the real estate industry but the savvy GenXers are not letting the media stop them from taking full advantage of the current market.

A survey that encompasses 230,000 mortgage loan applications from over 1,100 lenders found that GenXers (people born between 1965-1979) represent more than 50% of mortgage borrowers.

The survey also found that the majority of borrowers (64%) had a credit score of 680 or higher. Whatever generation you may fall into make sure you take full advantage of all the opportunities that the current market holds.
