On Tarmac in Minneapolis

While sitting on the tarmac at the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport in a snowstorm this past week, it once again dawned on me how fortunate and grateful I am to be living in Santa Barbara; paradise of the West…and if I needed any reinforcement to solidify this notion, all I needed to do was to look out the window to see the blizzard in progress and the de-icing trucks working tirelessly on our plane.

Am I spoiled by this most fabulous weather and wonderful culture, absolutely; am I one of the chosen ones to be living in such beauty, well maybe not necessarily chosen, but lucky enough to have been transplanted to such ecstasy!

For those of you who are contemplating Santa Barbara, you will find lovely people here, you will find weather unsurpassed by no other place, you will find stunning culture and arts and you will find a welcoming community surrounding you.

I am so glad that I have been able to experience Santa Barbara…we’re waiting for you!
