The Orfalea Fund
The Orfalea Fund's mission is to support organizations and projects within Santa
Barbara, Ventura and San Luis Obispo Counties which enhance young people's lives
by contributing to quality education, healthy development, and nurturing environments;
improve and enrich education and services through community programs; and encourage
family values, bring together generations, and provide opportunities to those
less privileged and those facing learning challenges.
The Orfalea Fund's focus on education includes programs that teach specific skills,
as well as those geared toward the imparting of good judgment, critical analysis,
and social and life skills. Our support includes programs for elementary, middle,
high school, and college students that generally take place during the traditional
school day. The Orfalea Fund partners with Village Properties Teacher's Fund
to provide teachers and their classrooms with enhancements, enrichment and extras
by supplementing shortfalls in funding.
