Community service and volunteering for her profession are an ongoing part of her professional and personal life. Currently Renee serves as the newly-elected Chairwoman of the Board of Directors for the Santa Barbara Region Chamber of Commerce. She also served as President of the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors in 1995. Other affiliations include: Member of the Montecito Education Foundation, Chairperson twice for the American Heart Association, Vice President of the Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce, Graduate of the Mediation Institute of Santa Barbara, and is also a South Coast Business and Technology Committee Member since 2004.
A few of her many awards include: the prestigious Santa Barbara Chamber of Commerce Betty Hatch Award for the 2005 Outstanding Woman Entrepreneur of a South Coast Business, the Distinguished Service Award for numerous contributions to the real estate community and the community at large in 2004, honoree of the local Association of California School Administrators (ACSA) charter as the year’s Partner in Education. She has also received Certificates of Appreciation from Rep. Lois Capps and Assemblywoman Hannah Beth Jackson. ACSA presented the award in recognition of the outstanding efforts of the Village Properties Teacher’s Fund in 2004. And the list continues with awards from the Girl Scouts of Tres Conrad’s as a Woman of Distinction, named Realtor of the Year in 1996, received a Certificate of Appreciation for Hard Work and Dedication at the 12th Annual Santa Barbara American Heart Walk and Run, the California Teachers Association Channel Islands Service Center Council presented Renee with the Outstanding Citizen Gold Award for outstanding support of Public Education, the California Congress of Parents, Teachers and Students, Inc. presented Renee with the Continuing Service Award for recognition of outstanding service to children and youth, and in 1998 received a Certificate of Appreciation from the Santa Barbara Association of Realtors for countless hours of volunteerism in implementing and maintaining the Boris Maestro System.
